PIXELATO

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-09-27

Pixelato is a pixel-art and casual-games site. This page explains what we store, why, and the choices you have — including the disclosures required for the ads that help keep the free tier free.

What we collect

If you don't create an account: almost nothing leaves your device. Your artwork, drawings, career saves and game progress are stored locally in your browser (localStorage and IndexedDB) and are never uploaded anywhere.

If you create an account (email address, or a Google sign-in): we store your email address, an account ID, and whatever you choose to sync — your per-game saves, your display name, and your workspace preferences (like a saved theme). This lets your progress follow you to another device. Account data is hosted by Supabase, our database provider, acting purely as our processor: they don't use it for their own purposes.

Feedback: if you use the in-app Feedback form, we store the message, your rating/category, and — if you're signed in — your account ID, so we can follow up and avoid duplicate reports.

We never collect: your real name (unless you type one into a display-name field), payment card numbers (checkout, when it exists, is handled entirely by Stripe — we never see your card), or precise location.

Cookies & local storage

We use localStorage/IndexedDB for game saves, drafts and preferences (functional, not tracking), and a Supabase session cookie/token to keep you signed in. Google AdSense (below) sets its own cookies for ad delivery and measurement.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

Some pages on Pixelato show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and to measure how those ads perform.

Children's privacy

Pixelato is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account or submitted personal information, contact us via the Feedback page (mention "privacy") and we will delete it.

Because this site may serve ads, be aware that Google's own policies (including the treatment of sites likely to be accessed by children) apply to any ad requests made from pages you visit here.

Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal information. It's shared only with the service providers that make Pixelato work: Supabase (database/auth hosting), Google AdSense (ads, if shown), and — once checkout exists — Stripe (payments; they receive only what's needed to process a purchase, never your Pixelato password).

Data retention & deletion

Account data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can delete your saves at any time from within each game, or ask us to delete your whole account via the Feedback page — we'll confirm once it's done. Locally-stored data (no account) can be cleared any time from your browser's site settings, or with the "Download ALL my Pixelato data" tool on your account page, which also lets you back everything up first.

Security

Account access is protected by Supabase Auth (password or magic-link sign-in). We never store your password in plain text — Supabase hashes it. Traffic to this site and to Supabase is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS).

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Pixelato after a change means you accept the update.

Contact
